An Update From the Folks at
DOG & HYDRANT
May 25, 2020
Dear Clients and Friends,
Dog & Hydrant is happy to announce our official re-opening! After nine weeks of complying with Sonoma County’s Shelter-in-Place Order, we have been cleared to resume full-time business in our grooming salon and our newly expanded retail boutique.
The next few weeks will certainly be uncharted territory for us all, but we are dedicated to getting back on track and finding the ‘new normal’ with our community. Dog & Hydrant is implementing modified safety and hygiene protocols to ensure that we are in compliance with all re-opening requirements, and to try our very best to keep our clients and employees safe moving forward. Please click here to read more about the changes we have made behind the scenes, and what you can expect on your next visit.
We know that the quarantine period hasn’t been easy on you or your pets. With shaggy coats, long nails, and dirty-dog aromas, there’s no doubt that your pups are probably in desperate need of grooming services as soon as possible. A few of you may have even picked up the scissors or clippers at home, and we can’t wait to see your handiwork! Our talented team is here to help.
Dog & Hydrant is committed to getting everyone the services they need as quickly and as fairly as possible. Our amazing crew of groomers and bathers is voluntarily working six days a week (including Memorial Day), with extended salon hours daily, all in an effort to accommodate our clients’ needs as swiftly as possible. With this in mind, we ask for your continued patience and support as we implement our phased plan for appointment scheduling. Click here for more information on Phased Appointment Scheduling and to see when you can expect to hear from us.
Over the next two weeks, you will notice that Dog & Hydrant’s phone lines will continue to immediately go to voicemail. We understand this can be frustrating, and we beg your forgiveness and patience for just a bit longer. Our front desk team is currently in the process of rescheduling over two thousand missed appointments, and they have hundreds of messages they are working to respond to. Those numbers feel a bit daunting, but we are up for the challenge! Our best estimate is that it will take us approximately two weeks to get caught up, at which point we will turn the phones back on and resume normal scheduling procedures on or before June 9.
If you already have an appointment and need to reach us, kindly reply to the text message or email confirmation that you received at the time of booking; you will receive immediate attention during normal business hours. If you do not have an appointment scheduled, but need to reach us urgently, you can stop by the shop to speak to our friendly front desk staff in person (please remember your mask!), or you can email afox@dogandhydrant.com with your request.
The team at D&H is very happy to be back to work and we have greatly missed all of our favorite furry clients. We wish you all good health and sanity as we settle in for the summertime. Thank you always for your kindness and patronage! There is no better place to live, and we love being part of this amazing community. Welcome back.
Cheers,
Hannah, Ali and
The D&H Crew
